Q: How & why does the Far Infrared Body Wrap work?

Far infrared energy is a part of the natural light spectrum minus the UV element. The CaJah Far Infrared Body Wrap energy penetrates 1.5 inches through the skin and turns into heat energy which elevates the temperature of the subcutaneous (fatty) layers under the skin. The body’s absorption of this energy simulates a workout, burning up to 1200-1400 calories in a 50-minute session providing body shaping and detoxification.

Q: What Is Infrared?

Infrared is the band of light we perceive as heat. We cannot see this band of light with the naked eye, but we can feel this type of light in the form of heat. Our sun produces most of its energy output in the infrared segment of the spectrum. Infrared rays heat your body without having to heat the air in-between, through a process called conversion.

 

Q: What is Infrared Weight Loss?

While wrapped, infrared heat penetrates down to the bone and radiates outward, heating ligaments, joints and muscles while reaching toxins and cellulite that are trapped in pockets below the skin. You relax while burning up to 1200-1400 calories in just one 50 minute session!

 

Q: How is the body reshaping achieved using the Far Infrared Body Wrap?

The results depend on each individual’s physiological makeup. If someone is carrying more weight, the results are more visible and a change in body shape can be noticed. For some clients they might not see a significant change in weight loss but the treatment will result in enhanced body shape, inch loss or a drop in dress size. For clients with no weight problem can achieve body toning, muscle and body pain relief, lymphatic drainage and improved circulation.

It’s common knowledge that if a person exercises and eats bad food, the exercise/workout will have no positive effect on the body. Similarly, if a client is on a thermotherapy program and does not maintain good eating habits, is not going to benefit from it when it comes to weight loss.it will void the treatment results and will have no benefit. Ideally, thermotherapy will be most effective on someone with a balanced diet and some degree/form of exercise. Clients with an inactive lifestyle can also achieve significant results if they maintain a balanced diet alongside the treatment. According to manufacturer experiences and study, one dress size reduction can be achieved from 6-10 treatments, with each treatment 2-3 days apart.

 

Q: What parts of the body can be targeted?

There are six high-density silicone treatment pads providing several wrapping options. For most clients, the silicone pads are generally wrapped around the thighs, hips, abdomen, chest, or shoulders. If the shoulders are already toned, the calves can be wrapped instead. The heat to each of the silicone pads is individually controlled therefore the level can be set according to the clients comfort level.

 

Q: How long does each treatment last?

The customer is wrapped for 50 minutes, and each session is booked for one hour.

 

Q: Should I drink water before or after a session?

It is recommended that you should drink room temperature water before, during and after a session which allows the body to stay hydrated and replaces body fluids that have been sweated out during the session.

 

Q: How often should I repeat Far Infrared Treatments?

The recommended number/ frequency of treatment varies from person to person. We generally recommend two to three days between treatments. However, if someone is physically very active and undertakes regular exercise, a treatment once a week can be very beneficial. A treatment right before exercise is preferable, as it will significantly increase the number of calories burned and the maximum impact on body definition.

People with a relatively low activity lifestyle are recommended to repeat the treatment every 3 days. More regular sessions are unnecessary and may actually be detrimental to the treatment result. Upon reaching the intended body shape, it is possible to revert to a maintenance only schedule, which for most people, should be around 2 to 4 times a month. People with healthy eating and an active lifestyle are recommended to have one treatment a week to boost body toning.

 

Q: Who can use Far Infrared Treatments?

Virtually everyone from all walks of life can gain benefit from a Far Infrared Body Wrap. However, sessions should not be undertaken unless clients have received their Doctor’s advice where any of the following conditions exist: Over activity of the thyroid gland, cardiac infarction, cardiac weakness, Heart pacemaker, constriction of the coronary blood vessels, marked high blood pressure, type 1 diabetes requiring insulin treatment, disturbances to the function of the kidneys and associated organs, fever, severe general infection, contact allergies, skin diseases, open wounds, newly acquired shingles, pregnancy, prescribed medicines causing increased sensitivity to physical stimulation (for example antibiotics), cases of severe varicose veins. As always, if any doubt exists, it is recommended that clients seek their doctor’s or health practitioner’s advice before receiving this treatment.

 

Q: Will changing dietary and health habits improve results from the CaJah Salon Far Infrared sessions?

Of course any diet and lifestyle improvement will be of benefit whether or not people decide to undertake a thermotherapy program. However, if a client has made the commitment to the thermotherapy program then more value will be derived from that commitment if other lifestyle improvements are also undertaken.

 

Q: Does it only reduce water weight during a session?

In an infrared session, the body core temperature is raised which stimulates sweat production and allows the body to release toxins and fats via your sweat glands. Hydration is really important as we need water not only to survive but also to produce sweat. By penetrating around 1.5 inches deep into the body, infrared heat can promote and increase the release of toxins and fats, resulting in about 3-5 % higher rate than during normal exercise. This is a major difference between far infrared body wraps compared to normal wraps.

Although the positive effects on the whole body and the psyche are extremely important, the issue of weight loss using thermotherapy is certainly a key factor.

Q: In what ways can I expect to see a difference in my body?

Thermotherapy causes the targeted reduction of fat deposits and unnecessary pounds to the individual problem areas of the body. For example, a circumference reduction of up to 8 inches in the hips can be achieved with thermotherapy.

The deep heating of subcutaneous fat is achieved by the absence of evaporative cooling using the respective wraps.
